Alan Pace and Brad Carr, the founders of IES, are two engineers,
with lifetimes of real-world experience in solving air treatment
issues. We started the company because we wanted to “build a
better mouse trap” - a smarter product line specifically
targeted for the laundry and dry cleaning industries.
Which is exactly what we did.
We started with the SonicAire fan, which has received rave reviews
across the US. With SonicAire comes a host of important products
to allow our customers to tailor the product to their facility.
We moved on to water filtration and heat recovery systems, which
address other areas important to these industries.
We’re big believers in building relationships of great
integrity while we’re doing business. You have to like and
trust the people you work with. While the concept is not
revolutionary, the reality is rare these days. We are just as firm
in our commitment to integrity in our relationships as we are to
excellence in our products. And, oh yes, we love to have fun too!
All work and no play and all that...
Here’s a brief bio of Brad and Alan.

Brad has over 30 years experience in designing, managing, marketing
and selling HVAC and Filtration Systems. After being recruited by
consulting and design/build engineering firms across the states,
Brad developed an avid interest in solving environmental problems
for the specialty area of plants with fiber and dust problems. His
international experiences bring together inventive ideas from every
corner of the world. These highly sophisticated applications require
a thorough knowledge of specific technologies coupled with an
inventive streak to provide the most elegant solutions. A unique
combination of inventory and engineer, Brad has shifted his focus
to tackle the most long-standing air treatment problems of the dry
cleaning and laundry industries.

Alan has been an innovator in air engineering since he graduated
from NC State in 1958 with a BSME degree. He has designed complex
textile air engineered systems all over the world, valued at over
a half billion dollars. Some of his satisfied clients have included
titans such as Fieldcrest Cannon, Kimberly Clark, West Point
Stevens, Unifi, Parkdale Mills, Burlington Industries, and
Procter & Gamble. Alan attributes his gift for innovation to the
necessity of creatively solving mechanical problems while growing
up on a farm in North Carolina.
